Millcreek Generation Facility

Millcreek Generation Facility, originally completed in 2006, serves thousands of homes and businesses in southwest Utah. Successfully completed in spring 2010, the 45-megawatt expansion is needed to fulfill heightened demand during summer months for the growing population of the southwest United States. 

The team of Kiewit Power Engineers and TIC – The Industrial Company was awarded the contract for detailed design, procurement, construction and startup of the 45-megawatt combined cycle power plant with a GE LM6000 Classic Sprint combustion turbine, inlet air chilling and a hot selective catalytic reduction system for nitrogen oxide (NOx) and an oxidation catalyst for carbon monoxide (CO) control.
