Durkee Cement Plant Expansion

TIC was awarded the contract for the design/build contractor responsible for detailed engineering and construction of the Durkee Plant Expansion that included a production line capacity increase from 1,500 STPD to 2,700 STPD of clinker.

Major systems included raw material transport from existing raw material storage bins, raw mill system, kiln feed system, clinker transport, finish milling, cement transport and storage, and dust collection systems.

• Fuller roller mill sized at 220 TPH with a 1,750hp drive
• Four-stage suspension type SLC pre-heater (33’ x 40’ x 245’)
• Clinker cooler controlled air quenching type flow gate
• 7,000 cy concrete
• 1,700 tons of structural steel
• 425 tons of ductwork and platework
• 14,000 lf of piping
