Oil, Gas & Chemical
FOR PROJECTS OF ANY SIZE OR COMPLEXITY ACROSS NORTH AMERICA
For more than 40 years, TIC has been a leader in North America, providing construction and maintenance services for projects of various disciplines across the oil, gas and chemical markets. We offer integrated engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) solutions and our experience spans from building and upgrading refineries, natural gas processing facilities and petrochemical plants to LNG facilities and storage terminals.
TIC’s deep bench of resources, direct-hire labor force and ability to self-perform help us drive cost and schedule certainty for projects of any size and in challenging markets — without compromising our commitment to safety and quality.
Our direct-hire labor force has averaged over 30 million man-hours over the past five years.
DESIGN & ENGINEERING EXPERTISE
By prioritizing constructability during the engineering phase, we identify and elevate cost impacts as early as FEL-1, empowering informed decision-making that sets the foundation for project success.

We take pride in our unique capabilities. Leveraging the largest onshore lifting device in the Western Hemisphere, with a 12,500-ton rated capacity, TIC is able to offer unmatched capabilities for integration services to our clients. Moreover, the Texas Gulf Coast facility in Ingleside, Texas, features a deep hole — serving as the designated delivery point for all float-on/float-off projects coming from the Gulf of Mexico, and accommodates the world’s largest float-on/float-off vessel, the Boskalis Vanguard. With seamless deep water, rail and road access and a vast equipment fleet, we are uniquely qualified to handle and deliver projects of any size or complexity.
POWER IN PARTNERSHIP at Freeport LNG
In 2022, an incident caused a shutdown of the Freeport LNG Facility in Freeport, Texas. As the second largest LNG export facility in the United States, we understood the importance of bringing this facility back online and quickly mobilized to support the restoration of our client’s facility.
TIC was able to mobilize to the project site within a few weeks, resulting in a faster start to the schedule. As we assessed the growing scope and tested materials, we were able to provide a total turnkey package, providing and performing all engineering and design services, procurement, construction and commissioning services, all while navigating post-pandemic supply chain challenges to ensure the project stayed on schedule. Leveraging our in-house software powered by InEight, we efficiently managed the project from start to finish, mitigating potential delays and ensuring a seamless transition through turnover.
To provide cost savings, TIC proposed a solution to harvest and install existing pipe to restore service for one phase of this project, significantly reducing the procurement schedule.
WORLD-CLASS PLASTICS FACILITY
Olefins Recovery/FEED to EPC
In 2017, TIC – The Industrial Company supported Chiyoda with the front-end engineering and design (FEED) for what would soon become a 1.8 MTPA ethylene plant in Gregory, Texas, known as GCGV. This plant has eight ethane cracking furnaces, an olefins recovery unit and integrated utilities. In 2018, CKJV, a partnership between Kiewit and Chiyoda, was awarded the EPC contract to design and build the plant on the Texas Gulf Coast. This plastics manufacturing facility, featuring the world’s largest ethane steam cracker unit, is also the first-of-its-kind large-scale modularized ethane plant.
